Recently released book A History of Professional Photography in Australia is now available as an ebook, allowing it to better show off its historical images.
Written in a light and entertaining manner by Paul Curtis, the book covers the period from the first photograph taken in Australia through to the present day.
Curtis describes his book as “the story of the characters involved and the equipment and processes used to chronicle the Australian way of life in pictures”.
The book also includes a mini-biography of more than 120 photographers who have been honoured by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.
The ebook edition contains all of the original printed book illustrations plus some new pictures which take advantage of the superb backlit screen used by most tablet devices.
