Sony has become the principal sponsor for the ACMP’s ‘Projections’ initiative, which aims to find Australia’s next generation of commercial photographers.

 

December 5, 2006: Sony has become the principal sponsor for the ACMP’s ‘Projections’ initiative, which aims to find Australia’s next generation of commercial photographers.
The Australian Commercial and Media Photographers (ACMP) is currently seeking entries for Projections, which has become the country’s leading annual competition of

emerging contemporary commercial photography. Open to all students, assistants and rising photographers, Projections is a great way for aspiring commercial photographers to showcase their talents. Twenty finalists will have their work displayed at dedicated industry events in both Sydney and Melbourne in May 2007 with selected works also featured in a print exhibition at the Photographic Imaging Council of Australia (PICA) Expo 2007.
Sony has also established leadership in ins sponsorship of the successful Tropfest short film festival for the motion picture industry. Its move into sponsorship of photographic events follows the successful release of the company’s first DSLR camera, the A100. Entries are being accepted for ACMP Projections until January 12, 2007.
