March 20, 2008: Sony Australia has launched a new online resource for digital SLR camera users that will allow professional photographers to share their knowledge and enable enthusiast photographers to learn more about DSLR photography.
The new website (www.sony.com.au/dslr), which is known as the ? (“Alpha”) Centre, will provide information and advice on choosing an appropriate camera body and lenses. A special ‘Lens Filter’ section has been created to provide key specifications for the Sony and Carl Zeiss range of lenses that can be used on Sony’s ? series DSLRs. Tutorials on DSLR-related topics, live forums and tips and techniques sections will also be provided.

Sony is encouraging interactivity and participation through photo gallery submissions and discussion forums. A range of DSLR images will be available for visitors to download to use as computer wallpaper or share with friends. Information on special events, promotions and competitions will also be available on the site. Members of the Australian photographic community will also provide articles and tips for the website and Sony will encourage other photographers to contribute their ideas and creations.
