March 25, 2010: The new Cyber-shot W-series digicams announced by Sony in January are now available in Australia, along the new S-series model, the Cyber-shot S2100.
Available in a range of colours and up to 14.1 megapixel resolution, the new W-series models feature slim, stylish bodies and include high performance wide angle optical zoom lenses. The W380, W370 and W350 models are equipped with Optical SteadyShot stabilisation, support 720p HD video recording and include an Intelligent Auto (iAuto) shooting mode that determines the optimum photo settings. Other features include Smile Shutter for automatic detection of smiling subjects and Sony’s Sweep Panorama mode.

The latest W-series additions are also compatible with Sony’s Memory Stick and SD/SDHC memory cards, giving users more storage options. All models in the series feature 2.7-inch LCD monitors. The new entry-level Cyber-shot S2100 offers 12.1-megapixel resolution and boasts a 3.0-inch LCD screen. Designed for easy, intuitive use, this model features Optical SteadyShot, Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode and Smile Shutter technology for capturing sharp images.
