Sony’s new premium compact camera, the Cyber-shot DSC-RX100, goes on sale in Australia today at an RRP of $799.
Announced on 6 June, the RX100 features a 20-megapixel, 1-inchtype (12.8 x 9.6 mm) CMOS sensor and a 28-100mm equivalent lens with f/1.8-4.9aperture range and image stabilisation. As well as being able to capture rawfiles, it can also record 1080p/60 movie clips and capture 17-megapixel (16:9crop) stills simultaneously.
