Sony Australia has released its first CompactFlash storage products on the local market, offering capacities of 1GB, 2GB and 4GB.

May 4, 2007: Sony Australia has released its first CompactFlash storage products on the local market, offering capacities of 1GB, 2GB and 4GB.
The line-up includes CompactFlash cards with data transfer speeds of 66x and 133x, providing immediate data writing from DSLR cameras to the card and speedy data transfer between the card and a computer. The 66x transfer speed cards offer a minimum 10MB/sec. sequential read speed and 9MB/sec. sequential write speed. The 133x cards have minimal sequential read/write speeds of 20MB/second. The 66x speed cards are available in all three capacities with a 1GB card priced at $44.95, a 2GB card at $74.95 and a 4GB card at $129.95. The 133x speed cards are available in 2GB (RRP 99.95) and 4GB (RRP $159.95) capacities.
The new cards include the benefit of being able to recover photo or data files that have been deleted accidentally. This function is accessed through a support application provided by Sony. All cards are supplied with a main unit, carrying case, operating instructions and warranty card. The Sony CompactFlash range will be available through consumer electronic retailers nationally, from SonyCentral stores in major capital cities and online at www.sony.com.au.
