April 26, 2007: Sony’s European Press Centre has released details of the company’s initial CompactFlash product line-up that is due for worldwide release this year. Targeted at the more price conscious consumer will be a range of three 66x transfer speed cards with capacities of 1GB, 2GB and 4GB. In addition, there will be two higher-end, value-added 133x transfer speed cards with 2GB and 4GB capacities. Targeted at the more ambitious amateur and semi-professional photographer, these cards will be supported by Sony’s image recovery service. The new Sony CompactFlash cards will be branded as part of Sony’s Alpha DSLR -A100 camera system. The new Sony CompactFlash cards are compatible with a wide range of products featuring a CompactFlash slot, including many digital cameras, printers and other imaging and computer peripherals. Robust and capable of operating in extreme working conditions, they will be supplied with a 5 year warranty. Products are scheduled for release from May 2007. |
