Sony Europe has announced the launch of its first 300x speed CompactFlash cards with UDMA (ultra direct memory access) support.

September 26, 2007: Sony Europe has announced the launch of its first 300x speed CompactFlash cards with UDMA (ultra direct memory access) support.
Available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities, the new cards are designed to meet the capacity and speed demands of professional DSLR photographers and serious photo enthusiasts. Capable of write speeds up to 45MB/second, they will be branded as part of Sony’s Alpha DSLR system but will be compatible with any device that has a standard CompactFlash slot. The 300x line-up comes with a five-year warranty. Sony’s 133x and 300x transfer speed cards are also supported by Sony’s image recovery service. The new Sony CompactFlash 300x cards are scheduled for release from October 2007.
