Snapshot, the Teenagers’ International Photographic Competition, is now accepting entries for its 2012 competition.
‘I see through you’ by Rebecca Rayner, one of the winning entries in the Snapshot 2011 competition.
Funded by the Penrith Regional Gallery and The Lewers Bequest, this competition is open to anyone between the ages of 13 and 19. Entry is free and the competition is split into two age categories: 13-15 years and 16-19 years. Entrants may submit one photo only on a subject of their own choice. Images must be uploaded to www.penrithregionalgallery.org before Wednesday, 15 August, 2012.
A shortlist of 300 images will be selected from the images uploaded for final judging and inclusion in the Penrith Regional Gallery’s Snapshot 2012 exhibition. Twelve winners will be selected from these images and share $1400 in prize money. The Snapshot 2012 exhibition will open on Saturday, 22 September.
Penrith Regional Gallery will also host a series of workshops for young photographers in the fourth quarter of the year. Details can be found on the website.
