LaserSoft Imaging has announced the inclusion of its sophisticated Printer Calibration tools in its entry-level SilverFast SE Plus 8.5 software.
Users of SilverFast SE Plus 8.5 scanning software can now create ICC profiles with their scanners. The latest version of the software now enables scanners to be automatically colour calibrated using the proprietary IT8 calibration. This enables a scanned target to be printed and re-scanned to create an ICC profile for the printer/ink/paper combination. These profiles, which can be used for future editing and printing, contain the entire available printer colour space with the maximum number of usable colours, can be saved for different printer/paper combinations. Created profiles are also customisable to suit different users’ requirements.
