New cameras that have been added to Version 3.0.17.2 include the Nikon D3 and D60, Pentax K200D and Sony DSLR-A200, bringing the total number of cameras supported to more than 120. New features introduced in the latest version include an improved ‘development’ engine, which delivers better image quality; adjustments to the non-linear processing components controlling output gamma and tone curve levels; improvements to highlight recovery processing as well as sharpness controls, noise controls, highlight controls and colour space parameters.
Because Silkypix is a non-destructive processor, photographers can keep their originals intact for archiving. Groups of development parameters can be saved as individual preferences for instant recall when they are required to speed up processing of images requiring similar adjustments. A full range of exposure and white balance adjustments is provided, along with lens corrections covering vignetting, distortion and chromatic aberration.

Silkypix Developer Studio 3.0 is available for Windows and Macintosh PCs and sells for US $149. For full program details and access to trial download, visit www.shortcutinc.com.
