Sigma has issued service advisories notifying owners of Nikon D5300 and Df cameras that Sigma lenses ‘may not work properly’ with their OS and Live View Auto Focus functions.
The company has issued firmware to correct the problem and advises that all products despatched from the factory after 19 November will have the latest firmware and be identified by a compatibility sticker. Free firmware updates for older lenses are also being provided. They can be installed by a Sigma service centre or through the Sigma USB Dock. Australian readers concerned about this issue should consult the retail store from which the lens was purchased or contact C.R. Kennedy via http://consumer.crkennedy.com.au/support.
