Newcomer to the action camera market, ShotBox, has released two new compact and easy-to-use action cams, the S71 and S60.

The premium ShotBox S71 provides 4K resolution with frame rates of 12 or 15 fps as well as supporting 1080p and 960p video at up to 50 fps with a recoding time of up to 2.5 hours at 960p resolution. It can record 16-megapixel still images at up to 10 frames/second. The ShotBox S60 is limited to 1080p, 960p and 720p resolution and a maximum still frame rate of eight frames/second. Both cameras can record 720p movies at 120, 100, 60 or 50 fps. Images and movie clips are stored on a microSD card. A Class 10 speed rating is recommended and the camera can handle capacities up to 64GB.
Both cameras come with fixed lenses that cover an angle of view of 147 degrees with a f/2.8 aperture. Both include a 10x digital zoom function. Both cameras are waterproof to 100 metres and come bundled with a removable two-inch LCD touch-screen, waterproof case, rechargeable lithium battery, various mounts, USB cable, humonitor anti-fog kit and a storage pouch and handstrap. Built-in Wi-Fi enables either camera to be connected to the AEE App, available on both iOS and Android, to control, record, review and edit recorded footage using a smart device.
