February 4, 2010: Nikon has unveiled seven new Coolpix models that are scheduled to go on sale in March.
The new line-up includes one Performance Series camera, four Style Series cameras, and two Life Series cameras. The Coolpix P100 features a 10.3megapixel sensor, 26x optical zoom (26-676mm) lens and 3-inch Vari-angle LCD monitor. it includes, PSAM shooting modes and can record 1080p HD movie clips with with stereo sound, 17 Scene Modes, Smart Portrait System with SkinSoftening and five image stabilising features. it will be available in black at an RRP of $599.

The Style Series range sees the introduction of the Coolpix S3000, S4000, S6000 and S8000 that combine slim bodied designs, fashionable colour options and innovative technologies with an affordable price. Top of the range is the 14.2-megapixel Coolpix S8000 (RRP $499), which as a 10x zoom lens (30-300mm), 3-inch 960k-dot LCD and VR image stabilisation. Features include a Creative Slider, High-Definition 720p Movie Mode and Quick Retouch function.
The Coolpix S6000 (RRP $399) features a 7x zoom lens (28-196mm), 2.7-inch LCD monitor, Advanced Motion Detection, VR image stabilisation, an ultra-fast start-up time (0.7 seconds) and High-Definition 720p Movie Mode. It will be offered in red.

The Coolpix S4000 and Coolpix S3000 have 12-megapixel sensors and 4x optical zoom lenses (27-108mm). The S4000 (RRP $399) sports a 3-inch 460k-dot Touch Screen LCD, High-Definition 720p Movie Mode, Smart Portrait System, Subject Tracking and 4-way image stabilisation and will be available in black and red. The S3000 (RRP $199) has a 2.7-inch LCD monitor, Smart Portrait System, Blink Proof, Face Priority, 16 scene modes, Scene Auto Selector, 4-way VR image stabilisation and Movie Mode. It will be offered in silver, black, red, purple and magenta.
Expanding the Life Series range are the 12-megapixel Coolpix L110 and L22 models. The Coolpix L110 (RRP $399) features a 15x optical zoom lens (28-420mm), 3-inch LCD monitor, 720p video recording, Sport Continuous Mode, Easy Auto Mode, Smart Portrait System and 15 Scene Modes. Available in black, it uses AA batteries. The Coolpix L22 (RRP $149) has a 3.6x zoom lens (37-134mm), 3-inch LCD monitor, Movie Mode, Easy Auto Mode, Electronic VR image stabilisation, Smart Portrait System and 16 scene modes. Available in black and red, it uses AA batteries.
