Nikon has issued a service advisory notice warning owners of D750 cameras manufactured in October and November of 2014 may have shutter-related problems.
The shutter mechanisms of affected cameras do not ‘function normally, sometimes resulting in shading of a portion of images’.
Globally, Nikon’s websites are providing a quick and easy way to identify cameras that are affected; simply enter the camera’s serial number in a box on the Service page for the camera at http://www.nikon.com.au/en_AU/service/service_advisory/d750-shutter-issue.
If your camera is one of those affected, instructions for requesting repairs will be displayed. Cameras not affected by this issue can continue to be used without problems. Affected cameras will be repaired free of charge.
Details are provided on the page on submitting them for repairs.
