October 9, 2007: The RMIT Scientific Photography course will present an exhibition of images by graduate students under the title, Invisible, at First Site RMIT Union Gallery, Storey Hall Basement, 344 Swanston Street, Melbourne, between 26 October and 3 November.
The exhibition will reveal a world otherwise hidden beyond human sight, depicting moments that are too fast, too slow or too small to be seen with the naked eye. Using techniques that cross the boundaries between science and art, the students’ photographs capture moments of unseen wonder and simultaneously push the limits of how we view our world. Images have been captured through advanced technologies and techniques, including high-speed, infra-red, ultra-violet, stroboscopy, microscopy and time-lapse photography.
The gallery is open between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm on weekdays and 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm on weekends.
