July 1, 2010: Sanyo has released a new line of eneloop rechargeable batteries that promises a cleaner, greener, more cost effective energy solution for users of AA batteries.
The new HR3UTG2 AA eneloop rechargeable batteries will be offered with new NCMQN04A eneloop charger packs that allow batteries to be recharged up to 1,500 times before they need to be replaced. Technological developments underpinning the new batteries a new highly durable super-lattice alloy, new coating technology and a super strong outer case. These features make the new batteries ideal for high drain electronic devices such as cameras, toys and game controllers.
The new batteries can be charged from photovoltaic generation in accordance with the Green Power Certification System. They also require less frequent recharging, retaining 90% of its charge after six months and 75% after three years. They have no memory effect, which means you can top up the charge without negatively affecting the battery. Complete with the eneloop charger and ready to use straight off the shelf, the eneloop model is available in both two AA pack (NCMQN04A2S for $24.99) and four AA pack (NCMQN04A4S for $34.99). For those who already own an eneloop charger, the eneloop battery is also sold separately – two AA pack (2HR3UTG2 for $22.99) and four AA pack (4HR3UTG2). For more information, visit www.sanyo.com.au.
