Its 3-inch monitor uses Super AMOLED technology and it able to be moved from side to side up to 180 degrees, and upward and downward up to 270 degrees. It also provides an array of touch controls.

Samsung’s Smart Camera technology equips the NX30 with NFC and Wi-Fi capabilities to support the latest connectivity capabilities. The Tag & Go function lets users tap and share memories instantly and easily, pairing the NX30 with NFC enabled smart-phones and tablets, while Photo Beam enables images to be transferred between devices by NFC. MobileLink lets users select multiple images to send to four distinct smart devices at one time and AutoShare automatically sends every photo you take instantly to a designated smart-phone or tablet. Dropbox, the popular web storage service, is pre-loaded on the NX30 in selected regions ““ making it the first camera-specific device to offer direct-to-Dropbox uploading. Flickr is also supported in some regions. The Remote Viewfinder Pro function enables the NX30 to be controlled from a smart-phone’s screen. Users can zoom and snap shots remotely and also adjust shutter speed and aperture, while framing the shot on the smart-phone’s screen.
The NX30 also comes with Samsung’s fast NX AF System II and supports s maximum shutter speed of 1/8000 second plus continuous shooting at up to nine frames/second. The new DRIMeIV Image Processor and a powerful DSP imaging engine support a sensitivity range of ISO100-25600 and enables movies to be recorded with Full HD 1080/50p/60p quality. 3D images can be captured with the Samsung 45mm f/1.8 2D/3D lens.
Movie clips can be recorded with Full HD Video Stereo Recording and the NX30 supports a standard 3.5mm microphone input for high quality audio capture. An Audio Level Meter enables users to continuously monitor and adjust the input level status while recording. The NX30 also supports HDMI live streaming with Full HD 30p output to a large screen, recorder or other HDMI device.
Two dedicated Custom Modes can be accessed on the mode dial and a separate drive dial also provides instant access to a selection of popular modes, including continuous shooting, bracketing and self timer. The NX30- is also compatible with Samsung’s i-Function system.
Concurrent with the NX30, Samsung has announced two 16-50mm lenses: the premium-quality 16-50mm f/2-2.8 S ED OIS lens and the lightweight 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 Power Zoom ED OIS lens, which will be offered in the standard kit. The new camera and lenses will go on display at the CES Show in Las Vegas, which opens on 7 January. Details can be found at http://www.samsungces.com.
