Highlights of the event will be the flagship NX300 compact camera & the new 45mm f/1.8 2D/3D lens. Featuring a large, articulated touch-sensitive AMOLED monitor, built-in Wi-Fi and an APS-C sized sensor, the NX300 is similar in size to the NX210 that preceded it but boasts a stylish leather-like finish and a retro silver top plate. It’s compatible with Samsung’s iFunction lenses. Built-in Wi-Fi includes emailing, remote shooting and social sharing features, the latter to Android and iOS phones and tablets. Cloud backup is also supported, courtesy of SkyDrive.
The new 45mm f/1.8 2D/3D lens is designed to match the NX300 and currently only works with this model. It allows users to record both 3D and conventional 2D stills and video movies.
Also on show will be the NX2000 , which features a phone-like touch screen and easy Autoshare capabilities. It comes with a bundled version of Adobe Lightroom 4 and an updated image-processing engine.
