March 28, 2008: Samsung Australia will add six new models to its extensive digicam range, offering features and performance to appeal to a wide range of photographers.
Top of the range is the NV24, which combines a 10.2-megapixels image sensor with a 3.6x zoom Schneider-Kreuznach lens that covers a focal length equivalent to 24-86.5mm in 35mm format. The NV24 also boasts a 2.5-inch AMOLED screen with automatic brightness adjustment, superior colour rendition and a wide viewing angle. The innovative Smart Touch user interface continues in this model, along with Dual Image Stabilisation, which combines optical and digital anti-shake technologies.

Photographers can also record video in 720p (progressive scan) format high-definition at with maximum frame rate of 30fps. Optical zoom and a movie stabilisation function can be used while shooting. An optional HDMI docking cradle allows the NV24 to be connected to a HDTV set for high-definition video playback. The NV24 also boasts a built-in user guide and supports face detection AF and AE. Fourteen selectable scene pre-sets are provided, along with seven colour profiles (including Soft, Vivid, Forest, Retro, Cool, Calm and Classic).
