Samsung Electronics Australia has announced pricing details and on-sale dates for the new cameras it will release in the next two months.

 

March 10, 2010: Samsung Electronics Australia has announced pricing details and on-sale dates for the new cameras it will release in the next two months.
The NX10 mirrorless, interchangeable-lens camera, which boasts an APS-C size CMOS sensor and an advanced range of user-adjustable controls will be available from April in two kits. Available in black, the NX-10 has a large 3.0-inch AMOLED screen plus an electronic viewfinder. The camera body plus the 30mm f/2.8 pancake lens will retail for $899, while the camera body with the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens is priced at $849.
Samsung’s PL-Series includes the 12.2 megapixel PL150 and PL101 models. Both feature a 1.5-inch ø¢â‚¬Ëœ2View’ colour LCD located on the front of the camera to help users shoot self portraits. The PL150 with an RRP of $299 and the PL101 with an RRP of $279 will be available from late March. The ST Series includes Samsung’s ST5500 and ST5000 digital still cameras, which include a Schneider-Kreuznach 7x optical zoom lens plus 720p HD video recording. The ST5500 also supports Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi and DLNA and has an RRP of $499. The ST5000 carries an RRP of $399. Both cameras are due for release in April.
Three WB series models are scheduled, all offering the ability to both record video and capture images simultaneously. The WB650 and WB600 will be available from the end of March with RRPs of $499 and $399 respectively. The WB2000, which has a 24mm Schneider-Kreuznach lens and support for Full 1080p HD video, will be available from May with pricing yet to be confirmed.
Samsung’s 12.2-megapixel ES70 (RRP $169) and 10.2-megapixel ES65 (RRP $129) models are easy-to-use digital still cameras with some advanced features and an affordable price tag. Both models feature a high-quality 27mm wide-angle Samsung lens with 5x optical zoom. The 10 mega-pixel EX1, a new flagship model with a full-range of advanced features and a 24mm ultra-wide angle lens, will be available from mid May with an RRP of $649.
Developed for immersion in up to three metres of water, the WP10 features a 5x optical inner-zoom lens plus Digital Image Stabilisation. It will be available from April with an RRP of $249.
