Panasonic Australia has announced the local release dates and pricing for its DMC-TZ60, DMC-LZ40 and DMC-SZ8 cameras, which were unveiled at CES in January.

The new cameras are scheduled for release in April, 2014, with local pricing as follows: the DMC-TZ60’s RRP is $549, the DMC-LZ40 is $349 and the DMC-SZ8 will sell for $249. Both the DMC-TZ60 and DMC-SZ8 will be offered in black and silver, while the DMC-LZ40 will only be available in black.
The DMC-TZ60 is noteworthy for being the first TZ-series camera to support raw file capture. It provides full manual control in manual mode with a Control Ring that can be used to adjust aperture, shutter speed, focusing and filters. It has a 30x optical
zoom lens with a Hybrid OIS+ optical image stabiliser and 0.2-inch LVF with 200K-dot resolution. It also comes with built-in GPS that complies with GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and can show the name of the Country, State, City, and Landmark.
The DMC-LZ40 features a 42x optical zoom lens with a 22mm ultra wide angle, integrated with an Optical Image Stabiliser. Panasonic’s iA (Intelligent Auto) mode is augmented with up to 15 Creative Filters available for photo, video and panorama photos. The DMC-SZ8 features a 12x optical zoom, 24mm ultra wide angle lens and 16-megapixel sensor.
All three cameras feature integrated Wi-Fi and Near Field Communication (NFC) technology that makes Wi-Fi connection to smart devices easy. Users can also save photos to the Panasonic exclusive cloud service ‘LUMIX CLUB’ and ‘ transfer still images or MP4 videos to popular social network sites.
