A line-up of Australia’s leading graphic professionals has been secured for the back-to-back Photoshop Live and Creative Suite Live Conferences in Melbourne in August.

 

June 3, 2008: A line-up of Australia’s leading graphic professionals has been secured for the back-to-back Photoshop Live and Creative Suite Live Conferences in Melbourne in August.
Almost 50 topics will be presented in a flexible program of two and three streams throughout the week. Photoshop Live, from 25 to 27 August, is followed on 28 and 29 August by Creative Suite Live. The second conference pulls all the platforms together in a unique opportunity for delegates to boost their skills, save time, learn the latest tricks and network with like-minded creatives and the world’s leading trainers. The week culminates with industry gala night, the Create:Awards on Friday, a Desktop magazine special event that celebrates and rewards the best of Australia’s design talent.
The following presenters will be involved in the two events:
Sandee Cohen is an internationally-known speaker and presenter on graphic design and author of the InDesign Visual Quick Start Guide, Real World Adobe Creative Suite among several other titles. Sandee writes the very popular InDesign Magazine tip of the week.
Philip Andrews is a photographic professional whose images have been published in over 40 magazines and newspapers worldwide. He is an international best-selling author with 30 titles to his name.
Mark Galer is a senior lecturer in Digital Imaging at RMIT University and has published ten books including the international best seller Photoshop CS3 Essential Skills. Mark’s newest release, Digital Photography Essential Skills, will be published in September.
Mordy Golding’s titles include Real World Illustrator, SAMS Teach Yourself Adobe Creative Suite All in One, and The Web Designer’s Guide to Color. Mordy was named a ‘Champion of Graphic Design’ by Graphics IQ in 2003.
Deke McClelland has written more than 70 publications, translated into 25 languages, with three million copies in print. Deke is best-known for his long-running Photoshop Bible, the most successful third-party book about digital imaging.
Peter Eastway, Mike McHugh and Michael Stoddart make up the remaining certified trainers and industry ‘gurus’ who will share their passion for and experience in photography, prepress, publishing and advertising at the five-day event.
