Registrations have opened for Foto Riesel’s Foto Rally, which this year will be split into separate challenges, one focused on the Sydney CBD and the other on participants’ suburbs.
The Foto Rally will be held over two days ““ Saturday, 28 September (Sydney CBD component) and Saturday, 5 October (your suburb component). Entrants can participate in one or both rallies. Participants in the Sydney CBD rally will meet in the Foto Riesel showroom at 364 Kent Street, Sydney at their designated time slot. They will be given four photographic challenges to be undertaken throughout the day. Entrants have from Sunday 29th September through to midnight Friday 4th October to upload their images to the Foto Riesel website.
Participants in the your suburb contest will receive their photographic challenges via email on Friday 4 October and will be able to complete their set challenges wherever they are in Australia and upload them to the Foto Riesel website from Sunday 6th October until midnight Friday 11 October.
Entrants are not restricted to the type of camera they use. Both rallies are also open to all age groups and all levels of expertise. Entrants must pre-register online at http://www.fotoriesel.net.au/foto-rally before Wednesday, 25 September 2013 (unless sold out prior). For the Sydney based rally entrants will need to choose a preferred start time to collect their photographic challenge. A prize pool of $1,500 is up for grabs and judging is based on photographic and artistic merit.
