The 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) lens is a fast, second generation standard zoom lens designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. Retaining the compact size of its predecessor, the new lens incorporates a new optical construction that has been revamped to enhance imaging performance. Features compatible with the latest model digital cameras that offer increased resolution include the proprietary VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) AF drive and linear motor focus mechanism. Close focusing is improved with a MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 18 cm at 28mm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7.

The new 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD (Model A058) lens is ideal for travel and everyday photography. It’s Tamron’s first zoom lens for E-mount cameras with a maximum aperture of f/2 and incorporates a new design with improved ergonomics and operability. Features include a quiet VXD linear motor mechanism for high-speed and high-precision autofocus with a MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 22 cm at 35mm.
Both lenses are compatible with the new Tamron Lens Utility software, which allows users to customise the functions and update the firmware through the lens via their computer, rather than through the camera.
No further details have been released at this stage, although both lenses are scheduled for release during 2021. Click here for more information.
