Weighing only 545 grams and just 148 mm in length with a maximum diameter of 77 mm, the new lens claims to be the world’s smallest and lightest 70-300mm zoom lens. It features Moisture-Resistant Construction and accepts the 67 mm filters common to all members of Tamron’s full-frame mirrorless lens series. It also takes full advantage of in-camera features like Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF, making it ideal for shooting portraits, sports and wildlife and also useful for other genres, such as landscapes and events.  The AF drive system is powered by the RXD stepping motor unit for high-speed, high-precision and quiet operation.

The new lens is scheduled for release later this year. Click here to obtain more information on its release date and stockist information.
