Designed for Sony’s full-frame cameras, this fast prime lens features compact dimensions (65.5 x 73.0 mm) and light weight (280 grams) and provides outstanding corner-to-corner image quality. Ideal for shooting a wide range of subjects from everyday snapshots, food photography, landscapes, night scenes and group portraits, its quiet autofocusing and tracking performance make it a great choice for both stills and movie shooting. Its small size means it is equally suited to Sony’s APS-C bodies, where it offers a 52.5mm equivalent focal length. The minimum focus distance is 22 cm, where the nine-blade circular aperture enables beautiful bokeh.

This lens features a convenient customisable focus hold button and a focus mode switch for instantaneous switching between auto and manual focus plus Linear Response Manual Focus for fine, responsive manual focus control.

Its dust and moisture resistant design adds to the versatility and reliability of this new lens. It is due for release in Europe in August 2019, priced at approximately €700. Local release date and pricing have yet to be released. Check for details on Sony’s local website.
