The new GP-VPT2B2 wireless shooting grip, which will go on sale in February at an SRP of AU$199, can be used with the α9 II, α9, α7R IV, α7R III, α7 III, α6600, α6400, α6100, and RX100 VII, although all will require a firmware update to ensure compatibility.
Bluetooth connectivity is key feature of the GP-VPT2B2, enabling a cable-free connection between the camera and the grip.
It also includes a useful tilt feature that allows for flexible vertical angle adjustment as well as the ability to switch from normal to self-shooting mode with ease.
There’s also an adjustment wheel to enable seamless operation with cameras of different sizes and weights plus a flip button, indicator light and lock switch. The grip can be quickly changed into a tripod by simply expanding the bottom portion, enabling easy, stable and hands-free shooting.
