Nikon has released a service advisory warning owners of its Z8 cameras that the metal camera strap eyelets may become loose or separate from the camera body.

This issue may occur if the Z 8 camera strap eyelets are subjected to strong impacts or continuously bear heavy loads. Nikon has identified a range of Z 8 camera serial numbers with which the issue may occur and will take necessary steps to correct this issue, at no cost to the customer, even if the warranty has expired. Owners of Z8 cameras can check whether their cameras are affected by inputting the camera’s serial number on the special box on this page on Nikon’s Support site
