Samsung has released details of three new storage products to be added to its range in the next few weeks: the Portable SSD T9, a 4TB model of the SSD 990 PRO and new microSD cards.

The new Samsung Portable SSD T9 (shown above)  is available now from the Samsung Online store and selected retailers nationwide for RRPs ranging from $249.00 for 1TB to $399.00 for 2TB and $599.00 for 4TB. Designed to combine fast transfer speeds with ample storage, it features a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface that supports read/write speeds of up to 2,000 MB/s and boasts a compact, credit-card-sized form factor. It is supplied with USB Type C-to-C and USB Type C-to-A cables.

The new 4TB model in Samsung’s SSD 990 PRO series of storage drives is powered by Samsung’s eighth-generation V-NAND technology and enhanced proprietary controller, enabling it to claim sequential read speeds of up to 7,450 MB/s. It also offers increased power efficiency plus an up to 50% performance improvement per watt over the 980 PRO series, along with an RRP of $699.00. The SSD 990 PRO bundled with Heatsink 4TB will be available from 1 November with RRP of $729.00.

New flagship ‘PRO Ultimate’ UHS-I memory cards in microSD with capacities of up to 512GB have also been release, with RRPs ranging from $49.00 to $179.00. They offer read speeds of up to 200MB/s and write speeds of 130MB/s, enabling professional photographers and content creators to maximise productivity. The new cards are ideal for use in Android smartphones, tablets, handheld game consoles, action cameras, drones and other devices where size and weight are important.
