RED Digital Cinema, a Nikon Group company, has announced the availability of its V-RAPTOR [X] and KOMODO-X camera systems with Nikon’s premier Z Mount.

The RED V-RAPTOR [X] and KOMODO-X camera systems were originally launched with Canon’s RF mount, which will remain an option for the time being even though Nikon acquired it in March 2024. The cameras are essentially the same for both mount options and owners can take advantage of Z to PL Adapter Packs, which enable PL mounts to be used on the newer bodies. Filmmakers also have the option to convert their RF mount versions of the V-RAPTOR [X] and KOMODO-X cameras to the new Z Mount systems.
