Local distributor, CR Kennedy & Company, is taking pre-orders for the new Hasselblad XCD 45P f/4 lens, which is due for release next month at an RRP of AU$1799.

Designed for use with all X System medium format mirrorless cameras, the new lens weighs only 320 grams and covers a moderate wide-angle of 50 degrees horizontally. The lightest and most compact Hasselblad medium format lens, it has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 36mm. Two aspherical elements in the optical design (which contains nine elements in seven groups) ensure superior performance that rivals the best XCD prime lenses. A central lens shutter offers exposure times from 68 minutes to 1/2000th of a second, with full flash synchronization and minimal vibration and sound.
This lens has a minimum object distance of 35 cm with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5.2. It accepts 62 mm filters and has a minimum aperture of f/22. Click here for more information and to place an order.
