Panasonic has released an updated roadmap for its Lumix S series cameras on its corporate website in Japan, showing four additions that can be expected in the future.

The previous update, released in January 2023, showed two lenses that haven’t yet been released: the Lumix S PRO 100mm f/2.8 Macro and the Lumix S 28-200mm f/4-5.6 O.I.S lenses. The release of these lenses hasn’t been confirmed yet. The additional lenses are likely to be a 28-75mm standard zoom lens and a 100-500mm super-telephoto zoom. Lens roadmaps can provide a useful guide to proposed extensions of a particular product range, although there can often be substantial delays between when new products are heralded and their actual release. We expect future new product announcements from Panasonic during September.
