With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in mind, Nikon has announced it is developing the Nikon D6 professional camera and the AF-S Nikkor 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR lens.

20 years after the original Nikon D1 DSLR Nikon has announced a new flagship single-digit D-series camera, the D6, which is claims is ‘its most advanced digital SLR to date’. Details are scarce and no information has been provided on features capabilities, specifications or likely release date or pricing.

The same is true for the new AF-S Nikkor 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR lens, which was also announced today and which Nikon is also developing to ‘provide professional photographers in fields such as sports photography with even greater support’.
