Nikon has issued a development announcement for two compact and lightweight prime lenses for Nikon Z cameras, which are scheduled for release in 2021.

The Nikkor Z 28mm f/2.8 and Nikkor Z 40mm f/2 are two compact and lightweight prime lenses currently in development for Nikon’s full-frame (FX format) mirrorless cameras. The NikkorZ 28mm f/2.8 is being developed as a wide-angle prime lens for everyday snapshooters, while the Nikkor Z 40mm f/2 will be a standard prime lens with superior bokeh. No further details have been released concerning release date, pricing or further specifications.
