DxO has released a new version of the popular Nik Collection suite of plug-ins for Photoshop, Lightroom, Affinity Photo, and DxO PhotoLab.
Developed over more than a quarter of a century, the plug-ins include the following tools Color Efex, Silver Efex, Analog Efex, Viveza, Dfine, HDR Efex, and Sharpener. The latest versions provide the following improvements:
- New tools in U Point adjustments.
- Addition of HSL filtering and dynamic filters to Nik Color Efex, plus the ability to move filtration between Color Efex and Viveza without having to access each plug-in separately.
- Speed improvements to provide faster launching, easier swapping between plug-ins and smoother exporting from plug-ins.
The seventh version of the collection also removes Nik Perspective, a combined optical distortion correction and perspective adjustment tool. This was done to provide a smoother workflow in the new suite. Users who require this plug-in can retain their version of Nik Collection 6 via a parallel install process per DxO’s instructions or switch to DxO ViewPoint 4, which offers a more powerful version of Perspective’s features.
