Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD (Model B060)
The new lens is small, fast, and has a 16.5-30mm full-frame equivalent range.
For macro shooting at 11mm the lens has an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.15m (5.9 in) and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4. A quiet drive makes it useful for both still and video.
Tamron says the main features of the 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD lens are:
– Fast f/2.8 ultra wide-angle zoom.
– High quality optical performance.
– Exceptionally quiet RXD stepping motor unit ideal for video.
– MOD of 0.15m (5.9 in) at the 11mm focal length for creative ultra wide-angle macro.
– Moisture-Resistant Construction and Fluorine Coating for extra protection
Launch date is expected to be later this year. Pricing has not yet been announced.
A Sony E-mount version of the lens was launched in 2021.
