The new SanDisk Professional PROBLADE Modular SSD Ecosystem has been designed to enable multiple, super-fast portable storage devices to quickly ingest, edit, and copy large volumes of high-resolution content. Ideal for film-makers, it features compact, high-capacity PRO-BLADE SSD mags that can carry terabytes of data and provide scalable capacity and time-saving convenience on location and in the studio. The system has three main components. The PRO-BLADE SSD mag, which powers the system and supports scalable storage and is available at prices from AU$329. Up to four PRO-BLADE SSD mags can be loaded into the portable PRO-BLADE TRANSPORT USB-C (20Gbps) enclosure (priced from AU$149) to create a powerful portable SSD with up to 2000MB/s read and write speeds. Users can easily
Swap out PRO-BLADE SSD mags and also attach a PRO-BLADE TRANSPORT enclosure to a USB-C compatible camera rig for high-res recording directly onto the loaded PRO-BLADE SSD mag. The final component is the PRO-BLADE STATION desktop SSD enclosure, which can accept up to four PRO-BLADE SSD mags at once creating a powerhouse Thunderbolt SSD device to support real-time 4K/8K/12K editing and super-fast copying.
Also announced today is a new series of SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-I SD and microSD memory cards with speeds of up to 200MB/s, the fastest of their type available, achieved through Western Digital’s proprietary SanDisk QuickFlow technology. A compatible SanDisk Professional PRO-READER SD & microSD device announced at the same time makes optimal use of the card speeds, enabling creatives to offload their content quickly with time- and labour-saving efficiency.
