The innovative Balanced Optical SteadyShot in the FDR-AX43 Handycam simulates an in-built-gimbal mechanism and is designed to ensure smooth footage while walking, running or at full zoom. Other advanced features include High-bitrate shooting at 100Mbps for XAVC S 4K or 50Mbps for XAVC S HD recording, a long battery life of up to 235 minutes of continuous recording time with the supplied battery and a New Highlight Movie Maker which works when Dual Video Recording is on and creates short movies in-camera in 4K or HD resolution without any need for post-production editing. Users can easily share MP4 movies on social media sites via a smartphone.
The camera in the FDR-AX43 Handycam features a Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 20x optical zoom lens with a wide angle of 26.8mm plus a Clear Image Zoom function that provides a 30x zoom for 4K or 40x for HD. The 1/2.5-type (5.76 x 4.29 mm) Exmor R CMOS image sensor and BIONZ X image processing engine ensure excellent image quality, even in low-light conditions. The camera also features Fast Intelligent AF for quick and precise subject capture, a flip screen for selfie shooting or vlogging and a three-capsule microphone for optimal audio quality.
The FDR-AX43 will be available in Australia in the second quarter of 2020 at an SRP of AU$1,299. Click here for more information.
