Following the Firefly update, Adobe has announced the arrival of two new AI-powered editing features in Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw: Adaptive Profiles and Distraction Removal.
Available in Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom for mobile (iOS & Android), Lightroom for web and Adobe Camera Raw the new Adaptive Profiles function will dynamically adjust the tones and colours in images, creating an enhanced starting point for further editing. Based on existing image data, an AI model can adjust hues and tones, building on existing support for HDR workflows. The effect is as if the AI had changed exposure, shadows, highlights, colour balance and curves, although the actual controls stay in their original neutral position, providing scope for further, user-based, adjustments.
Distraction Removal, now available in Camera Raw as a Tech Preview and coming soon to Lightroom, can detect and remove common distractions like unwanted people from your photos. It can also suppress annoying window reflections. In addition, Project Neo is also now available as a public beta at projectneo.adobe.com. making it easy to add dimensions and depth to designs. It eliminates the need for manual calculations and empowers you to create and edit 3D – all without requiring any technical expertise in 3D creation tools.
