Late March will see the release of the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4.0 PRO lens, a compact and lightweight, high-performance standard zoom with excellent close-up capabilities.

Designed for use with OM-D cameras, the new lens is dustproof, splashproof, and -10°C freezeproof and weighs only 254 grams, making it ideal for all kinds of on-the-go photography, from street shooting to photojournalism and event coverage.

Effective placement of aspherical lenses and ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) Coating have significantly reduced common aberrations and controlled ghosting and flare to ensure sharp, high-definition images.

The constant f/4 maximum aperture makes it easy to control exposures when zooming and when recording video by ensuring a bright screen image on the monitor and in the camera’s EVF.

With a minimum focus distance of 12 cm at 12mm and 23 cm at 45, a maximum magnification of 0.5x is achievable across the entire zoom range.

Special effects like Focus Stacking are fully supported and the lens is ideal for recording movies.

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4.0 PRO lens will be available in late March 2020 at an RRP of AU$1,099.
