The new updates, which are provided free for existing users of the software, include AI-based face detection which can provide detailed close-ups of all faces in the image, making it easier to select the best photo where no one blinked and faces are pin-sharp. In the Develop module, AI can recognize faces, eyes, and mouths and then suggest enhancements using radial filters. This results in subtle brightening of faces and enhanced details for a natural look. Photographers have full control over the intensity of these adjustments at all times. Zoner Photo Studio X introduces the new automatic Remove Background feature, along with the addition of AI-powered one-click photo enhancement, which can identify the type of subject and tailor the adjustments accordingly.

Image organisation is also improved with the ability to recognise similar photos, HDR images, panoramas and burst sequences. The software can group similar photos, making organisation and subsequent editing easier, especially when processing large numbers of images. The Develop module update includes redesigned handling of blown-out highlights and exposure settings (light, shadows, contrast, etc.). A new setting, Color Reconstruction, has been added to control how colours behave around blown-out highlights. Chromatic aberration caused by lens defects can now be corrected even if a profile for the lens does not exist or is unavailable.

The latest update also update introduces entirely new control options, such as combining keyboard shortcuts for various settings with scrolling the mouse wheel to change values. Everything is completely customisable and support is provided for editing consoles like Loupedeck+. In the Video module, clips, images, and text can now be transformed using anchor points directly in the video preview. New rulers and grids are provided in the Print module for precise photo placement when designing photo books. Improvements have also been made to the way Zoner Photo Studio X handles files from Fujifilm’s X-Trans-equipped cameras, with RAWs loading up to 2.4 times faster than last year.

The latest update of Zoner Photo Studio X is available today for all ZPS X users. A 7-day trial version can be downloaded directly at www.zoner.com.
