The fully-manual lens has a maximum aperture of f/2.8 and 17mm focal length that covers a 103-degree angle of view with minimal distortion. Its optical design consists of 13 multicoated elements in 10 groups, with an 8-bladed iris diaphragm and a damped aperture ring. Designed for full-frame cameras, it is made from sandblasted anodised aluminium and includes a depth of field scale. The M-mount version includes rangefinder coupling and a 28 mm frame line. Dimensions vary with different lens mounts (87 mm for Canon RF, 79 mm for Leica M, 91 mm for Nikon Z, 89 mm for Sony E) although the diameter of the lens remains constant at 73 mm.
The Lomography Atoll Ultra-Wide Art lens will be available to backers at an unrivaled starting price of $399, which represents savings of up to $150 on the forecast retail price when it is released in August 2021. Click here for more information.
