The Leica Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH. lens is a redesign of a popular series of standard prime lenses that began in 1054. Featuring a compact and lightweight design, it exploits the full performance potential of new camera sensors and offers exceptionally high-contrast and detailed results even in difficult light conditions. Eleven diaphragm blades ensure a visibly rounder bokeh and the new lens can focus down to 45 cm, instead of 79 cm. The cylindrical lens hood can be screwed in or unscrewed at any time with a flick of the wrist.
The new Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH. is available in the silver or black anodised version for an RRP of $7,490 including GST for the Black version and $7,790 including GST for the Silver version. It is available now at Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and authorised dealers.
