Available in mounts for Canon RF, Nikon Z, Sony E and L-mount cameras, the new 90mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO lens weighs approximately 619 grams and is 120 mm long. Its optical design consists of 13 elements in 10 groups and includes three ED elements to suppress longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberration across in-focus and out-of-focus areas. Thirteen diaphragm blades create pleasing and creamy bokeh in circular highlights, while the lens can produce 26-pointed sunstars when stopped down to the minimum aperture of f/22. It claims to deliver ‘impressive’ sharpness at different magnifications and from corner to corner of the image frame as well as being one of the smallest lenses of its type on the current market.

Magnification ranges can be set from 0.1x to 2x, allowing photographers to record objects of different sizes without changing the lens and also enabling them to focus to infinity for more flexibility in framing. The internal focusing design has a minimum focusing distance of 20.5 cm, which reproduce subjects as twice life size. The Laowa 90mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO is currently available to purchase via Venus Optics official website (http://www.venuslens.net/) and authorised resellers.  The US price for the 90mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO is USD499 for all mounts.
