Available in Canon EF and RF, Nikon F and Z, Sony E, Pentax K and L mounts and also for Fujifilm G mount medium format cameras, the new lens allows up to +/-11 mm shift on full-frame cameras or up to +/- 8 mm shift on the Fujifilm G-mount camera bodies. With a 94.4-degree angle of view and up to 117 degrees for panorama photography plus near zero distortion, this lens is ideal for architectural and interior photography.

The optical design consists of 16 elements in 11 groups with two aspherical elements and three ED elements to address chromatic aberration and ensure the image sharpness is consistent from centre to edge of frame. The 14-blade iris diaphragm produces a pleasing 14-point sunstar and can also create smooth circular bokeh when shooting close subjects at wide aperture settings with the minimum focus of 22 mm. The 360-degree rotatable lens hood shades the front of the lens to minimise ghosting and flare. Photographers can also adjust the angle of the lens hood to avoid blocking the image during extreme shifts.

The Laowa 20mm f/4 Zero-D Shift lens accepts 82 mm screw-in filters and can be used with a specially-designed, rotatable Lens Support ring for seamless stitching and panorama photography. The new lens is is currently available to purchase via the Venus Optics official website and authorised resellers at an RRP of US$1299. The Lens Support ring sells for US$249.
