Weighing only 335 grams and just 48 mm in length, this is the smallest and lightest GF lens to date. When attached to the GFX 50R, the combination weighs just 1,110g, making it the lightest GFX kit yet, making it ideal for street and travel photography. The new lens covers a 57.4-degree angle of view, similar to a 40mm lens on a 35mm camera. It has a minimum aperture of f/32, nine diaphragm blades that close to a circular aperture and a focus range of 55 cm to infinity. The optical design contains nine elements in six groups, among them a single aspherical element. It is supplied with front and rear caps, a lens hood and hood cap and a protective wrapping cloth.
The GF 50mm f/3.5 R LM WR lens is weather-sealed, making it dust and splash resistant and capable of operating in temperatures down to -10°C. This allows photographers the ability to shoot in extreme conditions and still ensure high levels of reliability – a must for any professional photography kit. It will be available for AU$1,649 (RRP) from late September 2019 at leading photographic stores and selected retailers.
