DJI has unveiled the foldable DJI Flip drone, which weighs only 249 grams and comes with the same12MP/48MP 1/1.3-inch camera sensor as the popular DJI Mini 4 Pro.

Announced on 14 January 2025 the new drone is available as a standard kit that includes the drone, DJI RC-N3 controller, one battery, a pair of spare propellers and other basic accessories and costs AU$699, or a kit that adds the DJI RC 2 controller for AU$949. The camera can record 4K video at up to 60 fps or up to 2.7K vertical video at up to 30 fps with an alternative FHD (1920 x 1080 pixel) resolution option at up to 100 fps. The battery can support up to 31 minutes of flight time and the video transmission range is between 8 km and 13 km. USB-C charging is supported. The DJI Flip measures 136 x 62 x 165 mm when folded, extending to 233 x 280 x 79 mm when ready for flight. The propeller guards are made of from a combination of strong carbon fiber string top and bottom with polycarbonate around the edges to make them safe for use close to people. Like the DJI Neo, the Flip can be flown using the intelligent flight modes app-free, with the app and using voice control, or with either the DJI RC-N3 controller or the DJI RC 2 smart controller.
