A significant update to a popular software application that has been in development since 2005 is now available to download.

BatchPhoto is an easy-to-use batch processing application that can be a genuine time-saver for anyone who takes a lot of similar photos and edits them on a regular basis because it provides simple tools for processes like resizing, cropping, rotating and colour replacement as well as enabling users to add a date stamp, watermark, comment, photo border, picture frame or vintage frame to their images. We reviewed this software back in May 2018  and found it a good performer.

The latest update, which was released on 20 July, 2023, provides a number of important enhancements that will bring the capabilities of the software up-to-date. We’ve listed them below:

  • New image file formats supported include HEIF, WEBP, AVIF, AAI, APNG, AVI, BAYER, BPG, BRF, CALS, CUBE, DDS, EXR, FARBFELD, FL32, FLIF, FTXT, GRAYA, HDR, HRZ, JSON, JXL, KERNEL, MSL, ORA, CLIPBOARD, PCL, PES, PHM, PNG00, PNG48, PNG64, QOI, RGB565, RGF, STRIMG, UBRL, UBRL6, X and YAML.
  • Improved functionality is provided through SFTP support for securely uploading images, a new thumbnails film strip view in Step 2, an option to test the (S)FTP connection and other interface improvements.
  • BatchPhoto Monitor can now download and upload images via SFTP with an option to recreate the folder structure on SFTP and also test the (S)FTP connection
