Adobe updates Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements

The Shake Reduction function is one of the new additions in Adobe’s Photoshop Elements 2021.

Designed with a simple, user-friendly graphic interface, the latest versions of the software applications use Adobe Sensei AI technology to streamline operations and introduce new features, improving their capabilities for both experienced and novice users. New features include automatic back-up of catalogue structure, the ability to adjust the tilt of a subject’s face, enhanced processing for landscape images and the introduction of duotone effects and a new Move & Scale Object tool. Users can now turn stills into moving photos to share as animated GIFs and access a wider range of pre-set templates and animation options for text overlays. Automatic colorisation is available for restoring old B&W photos and the camera shake correction function that was previously only provided in Photoshop is now available in the consumer application. The Guided Edits function has been updated with new additions bringing the total up to 58.

Premiere Elements 2021is also powered by Adobe Sensei AI technology and offers similar organizational features to the stills editing application. It features 25 Guided Edits to help novice users achieve their goals from basic adjustments to fun animations, transitions and artistic effects. New additions include Double Exposure and Animated Mattes and users can now select and edit specific areas of their video clips. They can also view effects in real time thanks to GPU acceleration. In addition, 21 new options have been added to the pre-loaded music scores, which also include 268 sound effects.

Photoshop Elements 2021 and Premiere Elements 2021 are each priced at AU$145.19, with the combined bundle costing AU$219.99.
